Job summary

Capgemini is seeking a Security Engineer as part of the Security Engineering Team in the UK. The role focuses on IT service management, incident response, and maintaining security tooling across SIEM, IDPS, and malware protection.

You will operate across client sites, Capgemini offices, and home, with on-call and out-of-hours responsibilities. You will work to keep client infrastructures secure, respond to health alerts, and continuously tune security policies and features in collaboration with

Qualifications

• Understanding of IT service environments, IT service desk and IT operations procedures.
• Experience working in IT outsourcing environments and aptitude to learn new technologies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Client engagement, time management and expectation management.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Proficient in IT Service Management principles handling incidents and service requests to meet client SLA’s/OLA’s.
• Ensure integrity of client IT infrastructures and participate in on-call/out of hours coverage.
• Maintain and tune Security Toolkit Infrastructure, including SIEM, IDPS, GVM and Malware Protection.
• Record and respond to health alerts from security infrastructure.
• Learn to tune policies and enhancements in response to security incidents.
