Job summary

Capgemini is seeking a Security Engineer to join the Security Engineering Team on a hybrid basis from Derby, working 2-3 days a week on client IT security services for an aerospace client. The role focuses on incident response, tool health, and triaging requests, with on-call coverage as needed.

You will handle ITSM incidents, maintain security tooling (SIEM, IDPS, GVM, malware protection), and learn to tune policies while delivering reliable security operations in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• An understanding of IT service environments, IT service desk and IT operations procedures.
• Experience working in an IT outsourcing environment and aptitude to learn new technologies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Client engagement skills and ability to manage expectations.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and in demanding situations.

Responsibilities

• Run activity: monitor health of security tools and IT infrastructure.
• Incident response: take appropriate actions in line with client requirements.
• Triaging requests to ensure ownership within the team and timely resolution.
