Job summary

Ebeni in Corsham is seeking an IT Engineer to join a defence- and security-conscious team. The role is hands-on and focuses on resolving escalated IT issues across endpoints, infrastructure, networks, applications and cloud services.

You will investigate problems, take ownership through to resolution, and support information security activities including ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials, and access management under the IT and Security Manager, in a hybrid setting with 2–3 days in the office.

Qualifications

• Experience in second-line IT support or similar hands-on role.
• Knowledge of Windows endpoints, Microsoft 365/cloud services, IAM, networking, and systems administration.
• Good understanding of information security principles and secure IT administration practices.
• Familiarity with ISO 27001 / Cyber Essentials is desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• IT service desk management, incident resolution, troubleshooting, and SLA-driven support across end-user and business systems.
• Windows endpoint administration, device deployment, software installation, user provisioning, and lifecycle management.
• Infrastructure support covering servers, networks, cloud platforms, identity services, and end-user computing environments.
• System monitoring, patch management, software updates, vulnerability remediation, and secure configuration management.
• Information security operations including security monitoring, incident response, access management, and implementation of security controls.
• Compliance and governance support for ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials, security controls, audits, risk remediation, and ISMS activities.
• Technical documentation, asset and licence management, process improvement, automation, and service reliability enhancement.
