Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is recruiting a security officer to cover control room/reception, gatehouse operations, and patrols across site. You will respond to incidents, support first aid and fire procedures, and handle helpdesk calls with a proactive, safety-focused mindset.

Shifts follow a 4 on 4 off pattern (days 06:00–18:00 and Nights 18:00–06:00) with additional standby cover; overtime available. Full training provided to build skills and compliance with client SLAs.

Qualifications

• Security experience preferred with willingness to learn new tasks.
• Involves control room/reception frontline duties.
• Gatehouse with weighbridge duties and site patrols.

Responsibilities

• Comply with security assignment instructions and client SLAs.
• Work in control room / reception, front of house.
• Take in-house helpdesk calls and pass tickets.
• Operate a fire panel and respond to alarms.
• Carry out security patrols and gatehouse duties.
• Weighing vehicles on/off site and recording wastepaper.
• Report incidents per Health and Safety policy.
