Job summary

Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are working with a growing specialist engineering business in York to recruit a Security Controller following an internal move within the business.

This is a permanent role offering 37.5 hours per week, days, with a salary of up to £44,000 per annum plus a bonus of up to 8%. You will lead security assurance activities, develop and review security policies, produce risk assessments and advise employees across the company.

Qualifications

• Experience implementing and monitoring security activities.
• Experience developing policies, procedures and security processes.
• Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to provide clear advice and guidance at all levels.
• Pragmatic, solution-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Leading security assurance activities and supporting List X / FSC compliance.
• Developing, implementing and reviewing security policies and procedures.
• Producing security risk assessments, audits, plans and supporting documentation.
• Ensuring security processes are clearly communicated and understood.
• Managing personnel security vetting for employees and visitors.
• Acting as a key contact for government security representatives and external authorities.
• Providing security advice and guidance to employees at all levels.
• Monitoring compliance and identifying areas for improvement.
• Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Researching and analysing information to develop practical security solutions.
