Job summary

LA International is seeking a 2nd Line WINTEL Engineer in Stevenage to support Windows Server environments and virtualization infrastructure. The role emphasizes rapid response to requests, automated image builds, and adherence to security standards across customer engagements.

The successful candidate will perform server patching, capacity reporting, and on-site visits as required, while maintaining and updating gold build images and documentation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing Windows Server 2016/2019/2022.
• Hands-on with AD, DNS and WSUS administration.
• VMware virtualization infrastructure experience.
• Backup technologies such as NetApp SAN and Cohesity.
• Microsoft System Center Operations (SCOM/SCOR) familiarity.
• Scripting ability for automation.

Responsibilities

• Review customer Windows requests with quick turn-around and detailing.
• Automate image builds and document work instructions.
• Build and rack physical servers in customer DC.
• Patching and upgrades of Windows servers.
• Capacity management reporting and bi-weekly progress updates.
• Ensure builds meet customer standards and attend sites as needed.
• Raise risks and issues promptly.
• Assist in testing activities.
• Investigate and resolve tickets within SLA.
• Maintain security in line with policies.
