Job summary

Fujitsu in Stevenage is seeking an experienced WINTEL Engineer to lead a team delivering IT support for live services in a Defence and National Security context. This office-based role requires strong customer interaction and technical leadership across Windows server environments.

You will build and configure Windows servers, maintain gold images, patch systems, and collaborate with service delivery to meet SLA targets. Prior leadership and SC clearance are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Good understanding of IT support, team working, and good communicator.
• Experience with Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 and VMware environments.
• Experience with backup technologies such as NetApp SAN and Cohesity.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of WINTEL engineers providing support for live services.
• Build and configure Windows servers (virtual and on VMware clusters).
• Update and maintain gold build images and perform patching/upgrades.
• Attend bi-weekly engineering meetings and manage service level targets (SLA/KPI).
• Mentor junior staff and assist with rosters, holidays, and project support.
