Job summary

North is seeking a Project Engineer in Birmingham to install, commission and service security systems across diverse environments. You will work with Genetec and Gallagher platforms, ensuring safe, compliant project delivery and high standards of customer service.

The role requires SSSTS, ECS Card and a full UK driving licence, with opportunities for ongoing training and development within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• SSSTS required; valid certificate or willingness to train.
• ECS Card - essential.
• Full UK driving licence - essential.
• Genetec and Gallagher system experience required or highly desirable.
• Electrical qualifications and relevant training desirable.
• Experience in SSAIB/NSI-accredited environments preferred.
• Commitment to training and maintaining qualifications for site work.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, service, and maintain fire, security, CCTV, access control, AV and PA/VA systems.
• Deliver upgrades, extensions, maintenance, remedial works, and fault-finding.
• Provide technical support and achieve first-time fixes where possible.
• Configure and maintain Genetec and Gallagher systems.
• Interpret technical documentation and ensure compliant project delivery.
• Deliver excellent customer service and professional communication.
• Advise customers on system operation and upgrades.
• Complete documentation accurately and on time.
• Work safely and to industry standards.
• Identify opportunities for additional works and improvements.
• Represent North professionally with stakeholders.
