Job summary

Capita is seeking an experienced Caretaker/Janitor for the Great Yarmouth site. The role requires travel to alternate sites, a valid driving licence, and the ability to perform full cleaning services for a secure facility. You must be able to pass Police vetting after living in the UK for at least 3 years.

Responsibilities include maintenance tasks, window cleaning, grounds care, waste management, and training other staff. A permanent contract with a competitive salary is offered.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a maintenance/cleaning role.
• Experience working within a secure facility is advantageous.
• Basic ICT, electrical and mechanical skills.
• Hold a current clean driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Provide a full cleaning service (planned, reactive and specialist) across the facility and cover for holidays/sickness at other sites.
• Assist with maintenance and repair of equipment across the site, including minor repairs.
• Undertake reactive and preventative day-to-day maintenance or repair tasks.
• Undertake monthly internal and external window and frame cleaning.
• Carry out grounds and gardens maintenance including planting, grass cutting and weeding.
• Manage waste disposal and stock consumables across the building.
• Train and guide other caretaking staff as required.
