Job summary

Great Places Housing Group in Blackpool is seeking a Permanent, Full Time Caretaker to manage on-site queries, maintain communal areas and promote a positive image of the organization. You will travel between four Independent Living & Wellbeing Schemes using a company vehicle, carrying out cleaning, basic repairs and safety checks to ensure a welcoming environment for residents.

Qualifications

• You will have worked in a similar Caretaker role and be competent at general handy person tasks.
• Full UK manual driving licence is required.
• Competent IT skills and using PDAs.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines.
• Flexible approach to the working day and safeguarding responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety and repair to estates, blocks and schemes, including communal areas.
• Carry out hoovering, sweeping, mopping, cleaning of doors, lighting and litter removal.
• Carry out minor repairs or proactive maintenance in communal areas (bulbs, handles, weeds, jet washing, painting, graffiti removal).
• Carry out regular litter picking of external areas and ensure surroundings remain clean and safe.
• Conduct Health & Safety checks and ensure compliance across schemes, reporting issues as needed.
• Maintain records of inspections and actions taken.
• Travel between four schemes on a cyclical programme using company vehicle.
