Job summary

Capita plc is seeking an experienced Caretaker/Janitor for a primarily cleaning-focused role at our facilities in the UK. The position may require travel to alternate sites, so a valid driving licence and access to a vehicle are preferred.

Duties include full cleaning services, window cleaning, grounds maintenance, waste handling, and staff training during shifts, including weekends where needed. Applicants must have prior maintenance/cleaning experience, basic ICT, electrical and mechanical

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance/cleaning role.
• Experience working within a secure facility.
• Basic ICT, electrical and mechanical skills.
• Hold a current clean driving licence.
• Flexible regarding working hours.
• Police vetting requires 3 years' UK residence.

Responsibilities

• Provide a full cleaning service across the facility, including reactive duties.
• Undertake monthly internal and external window cleaning.
• Maintain grounds, gardens, and waste disposal.
• Train others in caretaking duties and direct staff as needed.
