Job summary

Wates Group is seeking a Section Manager to lead a defined area of works on the HMP Welland Oaks project. You will work with project, commercial and design teams to ensure safe, high-quality delivery and strong programme performance on a high-profile scheme.

You will drive site activities, collaborate with subcontractors and supply chain partners, and uphold safety standards while helping to maintain a positive, collaborative site environment.

Qualifications

• Proven track record delivering medium to large construction projects.
• Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multiple work activities.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
• Experience in complex, secure or live operational environments would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage a section of the works, ensuring activities are planned, coordinated and delivered safely and efficiently.
• Monitor progress, resolve challenges and help keep the project on track.
• Implement programme requirements, drive quality standards and promote a strong health and safety culture.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination throughout delivery.
