Job summary

Clancy is seeking an experienced Section Engineer to support Thames Water contract delivery. You’ll help manage water and wastewater projects from planning through completion, ensuring safe, on-time and within-budget delivery with close coordination of site teams and stakeholders.

You’ll apply CDM knowledge, interpret drawings, and provide technical guidance on site. A full UK driving licence and NRSWA/SMSTS/EUSR qualifications are essential, with a strong focus on HSEQ compliance and cost

Qualifications

• Experience in water and wastewater delivery within a regulated utilities environment.
• Ability to interpret drawings and specifications to drive safe, compliant site works.
• Strong organisational and communication skills to coordinate site teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support the Construction Manager with delivery of water and wastewater projects from planning to completion.
• Take responsibility for technical delivery of your section of works per drawings and client requirements.
• Coordinate with stakeholders for permits, site access and isolations to enable safe delivery.
• Work with site teams, subcontractors and clients to resolve technical or operational issues.
• Monitor progress, costs and quality to meet programme and budget.
• Maintain records and provide weekly cost updates for financial control.
• Implement QA processes and ensure works meet client requirements and standards.
• Assist with RAMS, permits and other project documentation.
• Carry out site inspections, ensuring HSEQ compliance and safe operations.
