Job summary

The Clancy Group is seeking an experienced Section Engineer to join our Thames Water contract team at Harefield. You will support the Construction Manager with day-to-day delivery of projects ranging from £50k to £500k, ensuring works meet safety, quality, programme and cost standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Section Engineer or similar in water and wastewater environment.
• Ability to interpret drawings and specifications and make sound engineering decisions.
• Strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to coordinate site teams, subcontractors and clients.
• Commercial awareness with track record of monitoring costs and reporting.
• Understanding of Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental requirements and CDM.

Responsibilities

• Support the Construction Manager with delivery of water and wastewater projects from planning through to completion.
• Take responsibility for technical delivery of your section of works, ensuring drawings and client requirements are met.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to obtain permits, site access and isolations for safe, efficient delivery.
• Work with site teams, subcontractors and clients to resolve technical or operational issues.
• Monitor progress and costs, ensuring delivery on programme and within budget.
• Maintain quality assurance and prepare RAMS, permits and project documentation.
• Conduct site inspections and uphold HSE and CDM requirements.
• Provide technical advice and engineering judgments on site activities.
