Job summary

The Clancy Group is seeking a Project Manager with a construction or civil engineering background to deliver water and wastewater projects for Southern Water from award through to handover. You will work with site teams, designers and subcontractors to ensure safe, on-time delivery of civil, MEICA, and associated water assets.

Experience in water or wastewater sectors is highly valued, with the ability to manage programmes, costs and quality across a diverse project portfolio.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience delivering construction, civil engineering or utilities projects.
• Experience within water or wastewater is advantageous but not essential.
• Ability to coordinate with site teams, designers, commercial colleagues and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Taking ownership of projects from award through to construction, commissioning and handover.
• Managing programme, cost, quality and HSEQ performance across projects.
• Working with site teams to ensure resources, information and support are in place for delivery.
• Coordinating design and construction requirements, resolving buildability issues with designers and specialists.
• Managing civil engineering and MEICA elements within a multi-disciplinary delivery environment.
• Developing and monitoring project programmes, identifying delays or risks and taking action to stay on track.
• Collaborating with the commercial team on project costs, changes and compensation events.
• Managing suppliers and specialist subcontractors to support the overall project programme.
• Building a strong working relationship with Southern Water and keeping them informed throughout delivery.
• Ensuring NEC contract processes are followed and that project records are maintained.
• Ensuring compliance with safety, environmental and quality standards and CDM requirements.
• Visiting sites regularly to understand progress, challenge issues and support delivery teams.
