Job summary

Hyreus is recruiting an experienced Section Engineer for a Cumbria-based role with a leading Tier One civil engineering contractor operating in the power and nuclear sectors. You will support engineering delivery, ensure works align with drawings, specs and programmes, and work with site management, designers and subcontractors to drive safe, accurate construction.

The role focuses on setting out, surveying and technical coordination across a major infrastructure project, contributing to quality

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Section Engineer or similar civil role.
Strong civil engineering and construction background, ideally major infrastructure.
Experience with Tier One contractors or complex projects is advantageous.
Experience in power, nuclear, energy or regulated sectors is beneficial.

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day engineering activities within your allocated section of the project.
Ensure works follow drawings, specs, method statements and standards.
Set out, survey and manage dimensional control for accurate delivery.
Coordinate engineering activities with site teams and subcontractors.
Review drawings and technical information and raise queries when needed.
Support inspection and test plans and quality documentation.
