Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day engineering activities within your allocated section of the project.

  • Maintain accurate site records, including as-built information, survey data, daily reports and quality documentation.
  • Support the implementation of health, safety and environmental procedures, ensuring engineering activities are planned and delivered safely.
  • Work closely with the commercial and planning teams to support progress reporting, quantities and programme coordination.
  • Assist with the management of subcontractor activities, ensuring work is completed in accordance with project requirements.

  • A strong background in civil engineering and construction, ideally within major infrastructure projects.
  • Experience working for a Tier One contractor or on complex construction projects would be highly advantageous.
  • Previous experience within the power, nuclear, energy or other highly regulated sectors would be beneficial.
  • Competent in setting out, surveying, interpreting technical drawings and managing engineering controls on site.
  • Good understanding of construction methods, specifications, quality assurance and inspection processes.
  • Knowledge of relevant UK health and safety legislation and safe systems of work.
  • Experience coordinating subcontractors and working collaboratively with site management and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage priorities in a demanding site environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the confidence to raise technical issues and coordinate solutions.
  • A relevant qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
