Balfour Beatty Group is seeking an experienced Section Engineer for a major civils package on the BBNP project in Elgin, Scotland. You will deliver defined sections of work, coordinate core civils tasks, and maintain QA and safety standards across a large energy infrastructure site.

You will work closely with Site Agents, Engineers and Project Management teams to maintain progress, manage risks, and ensure quality.

Competenze

• Experienced Section Engineer with a strong background in civil engineering projects across Scotland.
• Proven experience delivering defined sections of work on infrastructure, energy, highways or general civils projects.
• Sound technical knowledge across earthworks, drainage, reinforced concrete, and temporary works.
• Confident in setting-out, QA documentation, method statements, and risk assessments.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors and site teams to deliver safely and to programme.
• Strong understanding of health, safety, quality, and environmental requirements.
• Ability to work with Site Agents, Engineers, and Project Management teams.
• Proactive, organised, and capable of managing multiple site priorities.
• Familiarity with Scottish standards and site conditions.
• Civil engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent)

Mansioni

• Deliver defined sections of the BBNP civils package safely, to programme and to required quality.
• Plan, coordinate and execute core civils works (earthworks, drainage, reinforced concrete, ducting, access infrastructure).
• Set out works and maintain engineering control data as required.
• Manage QA documentation, ITPs and as-built records.
• Prepare and implement method statements, risk assessments and temporary works.
• Coordinate subcontractors and direct labour to ensure efficient and safe site operations.
• Work with Site Agent, Sub Agent and wider project team to resolve technical queries and maintain progress.
• Monitor progress against programme and assist in identifying/mitigating risks.
• Ensure compliance with Balfour Beatty health, safety, quality and environmental standards.
• Contribute to a positive, collaborative site culture aligned with BB values and behaviours.
