Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking a motivated Secondary Teaching Assistant to support students across Key Stage 3 and 4 in local secondary schools. This full-time, long-term role offers competitive daily rates (£92.56–£95) and Friday payments, with term-time only scheduling.

You will provide subject support, assist with pastoral care, and help students develop resilience and study skills. Immediate start available for the next term, with enhanced DBS required.

Qualifications

• Empathy and ability to connect with teenagers.
• Experience with 11–16 age group is preferred.
• DBS check current or willingness to apply.

Responsibilities

• Lead small groups or 1:1 sessions to boost literacy, numeracy, or GCSE topics.
• Support teachers in-class to manage behavior and differentiate instruction.
• Provide pastoral support to develop resilience and wellbeing.
• Assist with exam access arrangements as required.
