Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking a motivated Secondary Teaching Assistant to support pupils across Key Stage 3 and 4 in local secondary schools. This is a full-time, long-term role during term time with immediate start and weekly pay.

You will assist with literacy, numeracy, and classroom routines, provide pastoral support, and work closely with teachers to help students access the curriculum. DBS enhanced or willingness to apply required.

Qualifications

• Experience assisting students aged 11–16 in a secondary setting.
• Excellent communication with students, parents, and staff.
• Commitment to safeguarding and student welfare.

Responsibilities

• Support students with literacy, numeracy, or subject-specific tasks.
• Assist teachers with in-class support and classroom management.
• Provide pastoral support and help students develop resilience and organisation.
• Aid with exam preparation and access arrangements where needed.
