Veritas Education are seeking a dedicated Secondary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming secondary school in Colne on a full-time, long-term basis with an immediate start. You will support pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4, providing targeted SEN support and working with teaching staff to help students access learning and reach their potential.

The role includes 1:1 and small group SEN support, classroom management assistance, and helping implement individual learning and behaviour plans.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with young people, ideally within a school setting.
• Experience supporting students with SEN is desirable.
• Patient, resilient, and nurturing approach.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

Veritas Education are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate Secondary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming secondary school in Colne on a full-time, long-term basis, with an immediate start available.

This rewarding role involves supporting students across Key Stages 3 and 4, including providing targeted support to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN). The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff to help students access learning, build confidence, and achieve their full potential both academically and socially.

The Role:

• Full-time, Monday to Friday
• Long-term position with immediate start
• Supporting students across a range of subjects
• Providing 1:1 and small group SEN support
• Assisting with classroom management and engagement
• Helping to implement individual learning and behaviour plans
• Building positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
