Job summary

Just Teachers Ltd is seeking a dedicated KS2 Teaching Assistant for a welcoming primary school in Colne starting September 2026. This full-time, temporary role provides long-term supply cover for the full academic year.

You will support teaching and learning across Key Stage 2, including assisting pupils with SEN, in a school known for its inclusive ethos and supportive staff. DBS update or willingness to obtain one is required.

Qualifications

• Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
• Experience working with children in a primary school setting
• Two education or school-based references
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons across Key Stage 2.
• Work with individual pupils and small groups to provide targeted academic support.
• Assist in supporting pupils with SEN, helping them to access learning and achieve their goals.
• Promote positive behaviour and encourage pupil engagement within the classroom.
• Help prepare learning resources and contribute to a safe, inclusive learning environment.

About the role:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic KS2 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Colne from September 2026. This is a full-time, temporary position providing long-term supply cover for the full academic year. The successful candidate will support teaching and learning across Key Stage 2, including providing additional support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
