Supply Desk is seeking enthusiastic Secondary Supply Teachers to join our team across Hemel Hempstead and surrounding areas from September 2026. You can choose one day a week up to full-time supply work, with opportunities across many local secondary schools.

Deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages 3-5, cover specialist subjects or general cover, and help create a positive learning environment while providing feedback to teachers. Flexible, varied work awaits.

Qualifications

Qualified teachers with QTS or QTLS.
Early Career Teachers (ECTs) welcomed.
Experience in secondary schools preferred.
Subject specialists welcomed.
Cover supervisors and unqualified teachers with relevant experience considered.

Responsibilities

Deliver engaging lessons across Key Stage 3, 4 and 5 where appropriate.
Teach specialist subject or provide general cover in local secondary schools.
Create a positive and purposeful learning environment.
Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
Provide clear feedback to regular class teachers at end of day.

Due to increasing demand from our partner secondary schools across Hemel Hempstead and the surrounding areas of Hertfordshire, Supply Desk is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Secondary Supply Teachers to join our growing supply team from September 2026.

Whether you're looking for one day a week, several days each week or full‑time supply work, we'll help you find opportunities that fit around your lifestyle.

Your Role

As a Secondary Supply Teacher, you will:

Deliver engaging lessons across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 and, where appropriate, Key Stage 5
Teach your specialist subject or provide general cover in local secondary schools
Create a positive and purposeful learning environment
Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies
Ensure students remain engaged and make progress throughout the lesson
Provide clear feedback to the regular class teacher or department at the end of the day
