Job summary

Supply Desk is seeking enthusiastic Primary Supply Teachers to join our pool serving Hemel Hempstead and surrounding areas in Hertfordshire from September 2026. You’ll have the flexibility to choose days, from one day a week to full-time supply work, with a dedicated consultant to support your bookings.

Deliver engaging lessons across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, cover planned lessons in welcoming schools, and build a positive classroom environment while receiving ongoing CPD and local support.

Qualifications

• Fully Qualified Teachers (QTS)
• Early Career Teachers (ECTs)
• Experienced Supply Teachers
• PPA Cover Teachers
• Unqualified Teachers with relevant classroom experience

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 (we will try and accomodate your preference where possible)
• Cover planned lessons in welcoming primary schools throughout Hemel Hempstead and the surrounding Hertfordshire areas
• Create a positive and productive classroom environment
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively
• Ensure pupils remain engaged and make the most of their learning
• Provide clear feedback to the class teacher at the end of the day

Due to increasing demand from our partner primary schools across Hemel Hempstead and the surrounding areas of Hertfordshire, Supply Desk is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Primary Supply Teachers to join our growing supply team from September 2026.

Whether you're looking for one day a week, a few days each week or full-time supply work, we'll help you find opportunities that fit around your lifestyle.

Your Role

As a Supply Teacher, you will:

• Deliver engaging lessons across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 (we will try and accomodate your preference where possible)
• Cover planned lessons in welcoming primary schools throughout Hemel Hempstead and the surrounding Hertfordshire areas
• Create a positive and productive classroom environment
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively
• Ensure pupils remain engaged and make the most of their learning
• Provide clear feedback to the class teacher at the end of the day
