Job summary

Supply Desk is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Secondary Supply Teachers to join our growing supply team from September 2026, across Watford and the surrounding areas of Hertfordshire. Work can be one day a week, several days each week or full-time supply work, with support to find opportunities that fit around your lifestyle while delivering engaging lessons across Key Stage 3 to 5.

You'll gain experience across a range of secondary schools, enjoying flexibility, variety and the chance

Qualifications

• Qualified Teachers (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent
• Early Career Teachers (ECTs) welcome
• Open to experienced secondary supply teachers
• Subject specialists encouraged
• Cover supervisors and unqualified teachers with relevant experience considered

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons across Key Stage 3, 4 and 5 where appropriate
• Teach either specialist subjects or provide general cover in local secondary schools
• Create a positive and purposeful learning environment
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Provide clear feedback to the regular class teacher at the end of the day

Due to increasing demand from our partner secondary schools across Watford and the surrounding areas of Hertfordshire, Supply Desk is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Secondary Supply Teachers to join our growing supply team from September 2026.

As a Secondary Supply Teacher, you will:

• Deliver engaging lessons across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 and, where appropriate, Key Stage 5
• Teach your specialist subject or provide general cover in local secondary schools
• Create a positive and purposeful learning environment
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies
• Ensure students remain engaged and make progress throughout the lesson
• Provide clear feedback to the regular class teacher or department at the end of the day
