Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. is recruiting Secondary SEN Teaching Assistants to support a wide range of partnership schools across the Wirral. Roles include one-to-one and small group support for pupils aged 11-16 with ASC, ADHD, SLCN, SEMH, MLD and other complex needs.

Immediate starts available following compliance checks. Opportunities exist for both full-time and part-time contracts, with competitive daily rates and ongoing CPD.

Qualifications

• Experience with children or young people; Graduates seeking school-based experience; Strong communication and interpersonal skills; Patient, resilient and adaptable; Genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs.

Responsibilities

• Supporting students with SEN in lessons to promote engagement and academic progress.
• Building positive relationships with pupils to encourage confidence, independence and emotional wellbeing.
• Assisting teachers with classroom management and the delivery of differentiated learning activities.
• Supporting students with social, emotional and behavioural needs through positive behaviour strategies and monitoring progress.
• Helping to create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
