Job summary

Teaching Personnel Liverpool & Wirral is seeking Secondary SEN Teaching Assistants to support a wide range of partnership schools across the Wirral. Roles include one-to-one, small group, classroom assistance in mainstream and specialist provisions.

Immediate starts available (subject to vetting and checks). Competitive daily rates of £95-£110 per day, with flexible full-time and part-time opportunities and ongoing CPD support from a dedicated consultant.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children, young people or vulnerable adults.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, resilient and adaptable approach.
• Genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs.

Responsibilities

• Supporting students with SEN in lessons to promote engagement and academic progress.
• Building positive relationships with pupils to encourage confidence, independence and emotional wellbeing.
• Assisting teachers with classroom management and the delivery of differentiated learning activities.
• Supporting students with social, emotional and behavioural needs through positive behaviour strategies.
• Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to teaching staff and SENCOs.
• Helping to create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
