Job summary

Simply Education Ltd is seeking a Secondary SEN Cover / Supply Teacher to work across Medway and surrounding areas. You will deliver lessons in mainstream and specialist settings, supporting students with a range of SEN needs and maintaining safeguarding and behaviour standards.

The role offers flexible day-to-day, short-term and ongoing opportunities, with a dedicated consultant to help you match assignments to your availability and preferences across KS3–KS5.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching in secondary/SEN settings.
• Experience supporting students with a range of SEN and learning needs.
• Confident delivering lessons across KS3-KS5 with strong behaviour management.
• Calm, patient and adaptable approach with a commitment to safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons across mainstream and specialist settings.
• Support pupils with SEN and learning needs, adapting approach as required.
• Maintain high standards of safety, safeguarding and classroom management.

• Previous experience teaching within a secondary school or SEN setting
• Experience supporting students with SEN and additional learning needs
• Confidence supporting pupils with a range of needs and adapting your approach accordingly
• Confidence delivering lessons across KS3-KS5
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• A calm, patient and adaptable approach
• Ability to quickly build positive relationships with students and staff
• A strong commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and pupil wellbeing
