Role Overview

• Deliver & Engage: Plan and lead dynamic physical education sessions across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (covering team sports, athletics, gymnastics, and fitness), as well as GCSE PE theory lessons.
• Flexibility & Immediate Work: Step into PE departments across The Wirral for daily cover, immediate sickness cover, or planned long-term block placements.
• Promote Active Lifestyles: Encourage participation, sportsmanship, and personal development for students of all abilities.
• Extracurricular Activities: Lead or assist with after-school sports clubs, fixtures, and school sports teams where applicable.

Requirements

• Qualifications: UK QTS or QTLS with a degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, Coaching, or a related discipline.
• Subject Knowledge: Strong command of the UK National Curriculum for Physical Education across KS3 and KS4, including GCSE PE or BTEC Sport specifications.
• Classroom & Pitch Management: Strong leadership skills, excellent group management in both outdoor and indoor sports environments, and high safety awareness.
• Compliance & Location: An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or readiness to apply immediately) and the ability to commute around The Wirral.
