Job description

At Axcis, we are seeking x2 SEND learning support assistants for a SEND alternative provision school setting in the Halesowen / Sandwell area. You will be working with some fantastic young secondary aged students who have had difficulty engaging in their education due to a variety of factors and the school setting creates an inclusive, understanding & welcoming environment to allow them to build trust, develop individually & cohesively with other students to grow in their learning & personal development. The school is set up to allow flexibility in the learning of the students as they understand their exams but also develop through food technology lessons and access to fit for purpose exercise equipment and music facilities. In the school, there is a real family feel created by the school promoting students eating lunch with staff, building respect among students to teaching staff. This role will be working with the same class of students and will require flexibility and commitment as this is a very varied role which will be highly rewarding but will also be challenging in nature. You will be working Monday to Friday for the hours of 08:30 till 3:30, during term-time only. You will be paid on a weekly basis on a daily rate starting from £89 per day (PAYE) dependent on experience & qualifications. Whilst in-school experience would be valuable, this role is open to applicants from residential, support and care backgrounds.
