Learning Support Assistant – Birmingham

Elevate Supply is currently working with a welcoming and inclusive SEN school in Birmingham to appoint a Learning Support Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils with additional needs in a setting that values compassion, structure, and individual progress.

Position Overview

Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

Location: Birmingham

Day Rate: £90 – £100

Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties
• Adapt learning activities and resources to suit individual requirements
• Support students both in the classroom and during structured activities outside of lessons
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and the wider school team to deliver personalised support
• Contribute to a calm, respectful, and inclusive learning environment
• Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
  
  

Candidate Requirements:

• Experience supporting children or young people with additional needs
• A background in education, care, youth work, or psychology is desirable
• Calm, empathetic, and resilient, with strong behaviour management skills
• Committed to inclusive education and student wellbeing
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
