Job summary

Protocol Education is seeking a Secondary Learning Mentor / Co-Educator / Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant to join a busy secondary school in Harlow. The role runs 8:30am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday, with September 2026 start.

You will support pupils 1:1 or in small groups, liaise with teachers and parents, help remove barriers to learning, and contribute to a safe, positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.

Responsibilities

• Working on a 1:1, small group or clasroom basis
• Liaising with teachers, parents/carers and other support staff to provide the best quality assistance possible
• Building strong rapports, breaking down barriers to learning and enhancing student personal and academic development
• Providing a safe environment, for pupil well-being
• Maintaining strong behaviour management
