Job summary

Outwood Academy City Fields is seeking a qualified teacher with QTS to join our subject team. You will deliver engaging lessons, use diverse strategies, and assess KS3/KS4 to raise attainment.

The role requires strong data literacy, collaboration with colleagues, and the ability to communicate high expectations while safeguarding students. The successful candidate will hold a degree in the relevant subject, a teaching qualification with QTS, and a good understanding of current curriculum

Qualifications

  • Degree in appropriate discipline related to relevant subject.
  • Teaching qualification together with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Awareness of strategies available for improving the learning and achievement of all students.
  • A good understanding of curriculum developments in the specific subject area.
  • Recent and relevant teaching experience in employment or training.
  • Experience of assessment at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
  • Ability to use a range of teaching strategies.
  • Able to use student data to raise standards.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively as a member of the team.
  • Ability to communicate high expectations to all students.
  • Ability to relate to students in a pleasant and sympathetic manner and to recognise potential child safeguarding issues.
