Job summary

Hawksmoor is seeking a Reservationist for a fixed term contract during the busy Christmas season. You will welcome guests, manage reservations and seating, and support the floor team to ensure warm, generous hospitality from the first hello.

Key duties include handling guest enquiries, coordinating cloakroom, and communicating clearly with managers and kitchen staff to maintain a smooth service. Training is provided for the right applicant.

Qualifications

• Prior hospitality or customer‑facing experience is helpful but not essential.
• Ability to stay calm and friendly in a fast‑paced dining environment.
• Comfort with multi‑tasking and coordinating seating and reservations.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly and confidently on arrival.
• Manage reservations, walk‑ins and waiting lists during service.
• Seat guests and manage the flow of the restaurant to support smooth service.
• Oversee cloakroom and guest arrivals during busy periods.
• Communicate clearly with managers, floor teams and the kitchen.
• Support the floor team by helping set and reset tables and assist service when needed.
• Handle guest enquiries in person, by phone and email with care and professionalism.
