Job summary

Balfour Beatty Rail is hiring an MPV Seasonal Treatment Fitter in Tonbridge to fault-find and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electric, and electronic systems on OTMs. You will perform maintenance to WI/RP/05, document faults and repairs, and follow safety policies.

Ideally you will have an recognised apprenticeship and NVQ Level 3 in Engineering, with experience maintaining a range of vehicles and a strong eye for deadlines and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship aligned with engineering trades.
• NVQ Level 3 in Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience maintaining vehicles such as cars, vans, coaches or military vehicles.
• Ability to meet timescales and deadlines.
• Health & Safety awareness including COSHH.

Responsibilities

• Maintain OTMs (On Track Machines) to WI/RP/05.
• Fault find and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electric and electronic systems on OTMs.
• Provide verbal and written fault/repair reports and keep accurate maintenance records.
• Adhere to Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental policies.
• Communicate with line manager and undertake required training and road vehicle driving.
