Mechanical Fitter required to join a specialist team responsible for the upkeep of Rail Head Treatment Trains (RHTT) – vital on-track machinery used to clear leaf fall, debris, and contaminants from the rail network during autumn and winter seasons.
This is a unique opportunity for a Mechanical Fitter to work at the heart of rail operations, ensuring the safe and efficient running of trains across the UK. You’ll be working on high-pressure water jetting systems, sanding units, and other mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic components that make up the RHTT fleet.
You will have strong mechanical fitment skills and proficiency in using hand and power tools. Flexibility to work shifts during peak seasons is essential, along with a proactive, safety-conscious approach and the ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as working alone.
