Job summary

Torrent Trackside is seeking a Mobile Fitter to cover the Basingstoke area. The role suits a skilled plant fitter or mechanic with experience in small plant maintenance, electrical systems, and battery powered tools.

You will work at customer premises, carry out maintenance and repairs, and ensure safe practices while managing van stock and servicing parts. A drug/alcohol railway medical and PTS training are provided as needed.

Qualifications

Time served qualified plant fitter or mechanic.
Full UK driving licence.
Experience in maintenance/repair of small plant engines (petrol 2-stroke, 4-stroke and diesels).
Experience with 12V electrical systems and battery powered tools.
Ability to plan own workload and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

Carry out maintenance, service and repair of company and customer assets at customer premises.
Work on your own and as part of a team at customer premises ensuring that the equipment is maintained to manufacturer specifications at all times.
Complete company paperwork and ensure safe working practices are observed and followed at all times.
Ensure van stock is kept to required level by ordering service and repair parts as needed.
