Job summary

Royal Mail Group is hiring for Seasonal Mail Sorter roles at the North West Midlands Mail Centre in Wolverhampton. No prior experience required; bring enthusiasm and join a busy team to help process letters and parcels during peak season.

You’ll be on your feet in a hands-on role, with shifts including afternoons and nights. Access to facilities may be available at the Wolverhampton site.

Qualifications

• No previous warehouse or mail sorting experience required.
• Have a positive attitude and team spirit.
• Organised and able to work independently and as part of a team in a busy environment.
• Enjoy active, hands-on work, including standing, pushing/pulling trolleys up to 250kg with wheels, and handling items up to 11kg.
• Flexible and happy to switch tasks when needed.
• Seasonal Mail Sorter roles do not qualify for visa sponsorship.

Tis the season to be earning a little extra

As a Seasonal Mail Sorter, you'll help process millions of cards, gifts, and parcels during our busiest time of year. Your duties will include:

• Unloading letters and parcels from delivery lorries
• Moving mail safely around our sorting centres and warehouses
• Helping sort letters and parcels quickly and accurately

We have a variety of shift patterns available at North West Midlands Mail Centre, Sun Street, WOLVERHAMPTON, WV1 1AA, including the following core shift patterns:

• Lates: 14:00 - 22:00 (£15.14 p/h)
• Nights: 22:00 - 06:00 (£16.44 p/h)

Please note, night shifts are not available to applicants under 18 years old.

Depending on location, you may have access to facilities such as on-site canteens, break areas, social spaces and subsidised gym facilities.

What you'll need to join the team

You don't need any previous warehouse operative, mail or parcel sorting experience. We're looking for people who:
