Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking Seasonal Mail Sorters in Warrington to support our busiest time of year. You will unload letters and parcels from delivery lorries, move mail around sorting centres, and assist with fast, accurate sorting to help us deliver festive cheer.

No prior warehouse or mail sorting experience is required; just a positive attitude and willingness to be part of a busy, meaningful seasonal team. Shift patterns vary by site, with facilities on-site where available.

Pay rate: hourly rate is dependent on the shift pattern you’re offered

Location: Warrington Mail Centre, Warrington, WA5 3XA and North West Super Hub, Warrington, WA5 3UY

‘Tis the season to be earning a little extra

As a Seasonal Mail Sorter, you’ll help process millions of cards, gifts, and parcels during our busiest time of year. Your duties will include:

• Unloading letters and parcels from delivery lorries
• Moving mail safely around our sorting centres and warehouses
• Helping sort letters and parcels quickly and accurately

We have a variety of shift patterns available, including the core shift patterns below, at

Warrington Mail Centre, Orion Boulevard, Great Sankey, WARRINGTON, WA5 3XA

North West Super Hub, Catalina Approach, Great Sankey, WARRINGTON, WA5 3UY

• Earlies: 06:00 - 14:00 (£13.69 p/h)
• Lates: 14:00 - 22:00 (£15.14 p/h) - Warrington Mail Centre only
• Nights: 22:00 - 06:00 (£16.44 p/h) - Warrington Mail Centre only
• Weekends: Various shifts available (as above p/h) - Warrington Mail Centre only

Please note, night shifts are not available to applicants under 18 years old.

Depending on location, you may have access to facilities such as on-site canteens, break areas, social spaces and subsidised gym facilities.

What You’ll Need To Join The Team

• Have a positive attitude and team spirit.
• Are organised and able to work independently and as part of a team in a busy environment.
• Enjoy active, hands‑on work, including working on your feet, pushing / pulling trolleys (up to 250kg with wheels!), and handling items up to 11kg.
• Are flexible and happy to switch tasks when needed.
