Job summary

Royal Mail Group is seeking Seasonal Mail Sorters in Manchester for the Christmas period. You will help process millions of letters, parcels and gifts at Manchester Mail Centre or Manchester Distribution.

No previous warehouse or mail sorting experience is required. Roles offer various shift patterns, with on-site facilities and eligibility for night shifts for those aged 18+.

No previous warehouse or mail sorting experience is required - just bring your enthusiasm and we'll provide the rest.

Tis the season to be earning a little extra

As a Seasonal Mail Sorter, you'll help process millions of cards, gifts, and parcels during our busiest time of year. Your duties will include:

• Unloading letters and parcels from delivery lorries
• Moving mail safely around our sorting centres and warehouses
• Helping sort letters and parcels quickly and accurately

We have a variety of shift patterns, including the following core shift patterns, available at:

Manchester Mail Centre, 77 Oldham Road, MANCHESTER, M4 5AA

Manchester Distribution, 77 Oldham Road, MANCHESTER, M4 5AA

• Lates: 14:00 - 22:00 (£15.14 p/h)
• Nights: 22:00 - 06:00 (£16.44 p/h)

Please note, night shifts are not available to applicants under 18 years old.

Depending on location, you may have access to facilities such as on-site canteens, break areas, social spaces and subsidised gym facilities.

What you’ll need to join the team

You don't need any previous warehouse operative, mail or parcel sorting experience. We're looking for people who:

• Have a positive attitude and team spirit.
• Are organised and able to work independently and as part of a team in a busy environment.
• Enjoy active, hands-on work, including working on your feet, pushing / pulling trolleys (up to 250kg with wheels!), and handling items up to 11kg.
• Are flexible and happy to switch tasks when needed.

• Seasonal Mail Sorter roles do not qualify for visa sponsorship
