Job summary

The Ivy Collection is seeking a Kitchen Porter to join our busy kitchen team. You will help keep surfaces and equipment spotless, support with basic food preparation, and assist chefs to maintain smooth service in a fast-paced environment.

No prior experience is required, though kitchen exposure is welcome. We offer competitive hourly pay with tronc, a career development programme, extra holiday entitlement after five years, and generous staff discounts.

Responsibilities

• Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas.
• Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchenware.
• Assist in receiving deliveries and storing supplies in designated areas.
• Empty rubbish bins and dispose of waste in designated waste areas.
• Support kitchen staff by performing basic food preparation tasks, such as peeling vegetables or portioning ingredients.
• Ensure chemicals and cleaning equipment are stocked, e.g. blue roll & sanitizer.

We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our kitchen team as a Kitchen Porter. The Kitchen Porter will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen, assisting with basic food preparation tasks, and supporting the overall efficiency of kitchen operations.

Requirements:

• No previous experience is required, although experience in a kitchen environment is preferred.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
• Good level of Health & Safety knowledge.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
