Job summary

The Ivy Collection is seeking a reliable Kitchen Porter to join our kitchen team. The role focuses on maintaining cleanliness and organisation, assisting with basic food preparation tasks, and supporting the efficiency of kitchen operations in a fast-paced environment.

No previous experience is required, though experience in a kitchen is preferred. We offer competitive hourly pay (with a tron c), a minimum 20-hour contract, staff discounts for dining, and a Management Career Development Program

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; kitchen experience preferred.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Good health and safety knowledge.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas.
• Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchenware.
• Assist in receiving deliveries and storing supplies in designated areas.
• Empty rubbish bins and dispose of waste in designated waste areas.
• Support kitchen staff by performing basic food preparation tasks, such as peeling vegetables or portioning ingredients.
• Ensure chemicals and cleaning equipment are stocked (blue roll & sanitizer).

We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our kitchen team as a Kitchen Porter. The Kitchen Porter will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen, assisting with basic food preparation tasks, and supporting the overall efficiency of kitchen operations.
