Job summary

The Ivy Collection in Manchester is seeking a reliable Kitchen Porter to maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and assist with basic food preparation. You will support with deliveries, storage, and waste management to help maintain efficient kitchen operations.

No prior experience is required; the role suits energetic individuals who can work in a fast-paced setting and handle lifting and long standing shifts. Health & safety responsibilities are integral to daily tasks.

Qualifications

• No previous experience required; kitchen experience preferred.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
• Good level of Health & Safety knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas.
• Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchenware.
• Assist in receiving deliveries and storing supplies in designated areas.
• Empty rubbish bins and dispose of waste in designated waste areas.
• Support kitchen staff by performing basic food preparation tasks, such as peeling vegetables or portioning ingredients.
• Ensure chemicals and cleaning equipment are continuously stocked, i.e. blue roll & sanitizer.

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our kitchen team as a Kitchen Porter. The Kitchen Porter will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen, assisting with basic food preparation tasks, and supporting the overall efficiency of kitchen operations.
