Job summary

The Ivy Collection in Bournemouth is seeking a reliable Kitchen Porter to join our kitchen team. You will help maintain cleanliness, assist with basic food prep, and support the smooth operation of the kitchen during busy service.

No previous experience is required, though kitchen exposure helps. You should be able to work quickly, lift heavy items, and stay safety-conscious. This role offers a minimum 20-hour contract and benefits including staff discounts and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• No previous experience is required, although experience in a kitchen environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas.
• Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchenware.
• Assist in receiving deliveries and storing supplies in designated areas.
• Empty rubbish bins and dispose of waste in designated waste areas.
• Support kitchen staff by performing basic food preparation tasks, such as peeling vegetables or portioning ingredients.
• Ensure chemicals and cleaning equipment are continuously stocked, i.e. blue roll & sanitizer.

We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our kitchen team as a Kitchen Porter. The Kitchen Porter will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen, assisting with basic food preparation tasks, and supporting the overall efficiency of kitchen operations.
