Job summary

The Ivy Collection is seeking a reliable Kitchen Porter to maintain cleanliness in our kitchen and support the team with basic food preparation. You will help with dishwashing, waste disposal, and receiving deliveries in a fast-paced environment.

No previous experience is required, but kitchen experience is preferred. A focus on health and safety, teamwork, and efficient work habits is essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; kitchen experience is preferred.
• Able to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
• Excellent health and safety awareness.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas.
• Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchenware.
• Assist in receiving deliveries and storing supplies in designated areas.
• Empty rubbish bins and dispose of waste in designated waste areas.
• Support kitchen staff by performing basic food preparation tasks, such as peeling vegetables or portioning ingredients.
• Ensure chemicals and cleaning equipment are stocked (blue roll & sanitizer).

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our kitchen team as a Kitchen Porter. The Kitchen Porter will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen, assisting with basic food preparation tasks, and supporting the overall efficiency of kitchen operations.
