Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is seeking a Logistics Coordinator (Import/Sea Freight) for its Tilbury operation. The role covers import shipments from booking to final delivery, working closely with customers, carriers, and internal teams to ensure on-time, compliant shipments.

The ideal candidate will have sea freight experience and a desire to grow within a family-run logistics business that offers training, progression and hybrid working after probation.

Qualifications

• Experience in import freight forwarding with sea freight is beneficial.
• Experience coordinating import shipments via airfreight and sea freight.
• Able to manage customer communication and invoicing throughout the shipment process.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate import shipments across airfreight and sea freight from booking through to delivery.
• Liaise with customers, suppliers and subcontractors and follow up after delivery to ensure satisfaction.
• Manage invoicing and ensure shipments meet vessel and flight deadlines.
