Job summary

Experis - ManpowerGroup is seeking an experienced Scrum Master for a 6-month contract in Telford, with 2-3 days onsite per week to deliver a major Tax Admin project (COTAX) for a client. You will facilitate agile ceremonies for two scrum teams, ensure Jira/Confluence usage, and collaborate with Delivery Lead, PM, architects, BA, QA leads and engineers to drive delivery.

BPSS clearance is required; ideal candidate has proven Scrum Master experience and strong stakeholder management in

Qualifications

• Proven Scrum Master with delivery focus.
• Strong facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in multi-disciplinary teams on complex projects.
• Extensive experience using Jira and Confluence for progress reporting.
• Experience of starting new Scrum teams as well as working with mature teams.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate Agile ceremonies across two scrum teams including Scrums and Sprint planning.
• Lead Backlog Refinement, Reviews and Retrospectives.
• Drive cross-team learning, knowledge sharing and best practice.
• Ensure effective use of Jira and Confluence across teams.
• Collaborate with Delivery Lead to track progress and communicate issues.
• Protect teams from distractions and foster a high-performing environment.
• Drive pace to meet delivery milestones.
• Support changes to ways of working, including AI solution interception.
• Promote ownership and accountability for delivering commitments.

Job Description:
This is ideally a 12-month assignment and the applicant must be able to attend Telford (@Phoenix) 2 days a week minimum. For Contractors - we would be looking at 6 months initially:
Fantastic opportunity for an experienced, delivery savvy, senior Scrum Master to join a two-year project to modernise one of the clients largest and most critical services (COTAX = Corporation Tax) in Tax Admin, on the clientsAccount.
The Scrum Master will work closely with: Delivery Leads, PM, Architects, Business Analysts, QA Leads, Lead Engineers and their whole scrum teams.

• Facilitate Agile ceremonies across two scrum teams including:
• Scrums
• Sprint planning
• Backlog Refinement
• Reviews and Retrospectives
• Actively drive cross-team learning, knowledge sharing and best practice
• Ensure effective and consistent use of Jira and Confluence across teams, considering all stakeholder needs
• Work hand in hand with the Delivery Lead to understand, track and communicate progress and issues
• Protect teams from distractions and foster a high-performing, motivated environment
• Drive pace and urgency to meet delivery milestones
• Drive a culture that embraces change to ways of working e.g. development and interception of AI solutions
• Embed a culture of ownership and accountability, in relation to delivering against commitments.

We are looking for :

• Proven experience as a Scrum Master
• Strong facilitation and stakeholder management skills
• Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams on complex projects and / or programmes
• Extensive experience with agile tooling e.g. JIRA and Confluence including for progress reporting
• Experience of scrum mastering in new teams, building from the ground up, as well as in mature teams
