Job summary

Matchtech is seeking a qualified Scrum Master for a 12-month contract at Warton Aerodrome in Lancashire. The role is on-site 3-4 days per week and focuses on delivering agile software and systems within the Defence & Security sector.

You will remove impediments, coach two Scrum teams, and partner with Product Owners to maintain a healthy backlog using Atlassian tools, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Certified Scrum Master certification or equivalent.
• Experience with Lean/Agile/Traditional methodologies.
• Proficiency with Atlassian suite, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong leadership behaviours, capable of managing 2 Scrum teams of low to medium complexity.
• Effective communication skills and ability to respond quickly to changing circumstances.
• Understanding and experience of using metrics to monitor team performance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to refine and maintain a well-defined product backlog.
• Remove impediments to keep the development team focused and productive, guiding them to solutions.
• Utilise data to identify areas of success and opportunities for improvement.
• Assess and coach the team towards higher levels of Scrum maturity at a sustainable pace.
