Job summary

Spire Claremont Hospital in Crosspool, Sheffield, is seeking a full-time scrub practitioner to support spinal, gynaecology, urology, plastics and minor orthopaedic surgery. You will input into the perioperative pathway and contribute to patient care across the theatre team.

HCPC registration as an ODP or NMC registration as a nurse is required, with prior scrub experience. Private sector benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Previous scrub experience in a theatre environment.
• Ability to work independently with sound clinical judgement.
• Commitment to high standards of patient care and safety.
• Experience working effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide scrub support across spinal, gynaecology, urology, plastics and minor orthopaedic surgery.
• Assist in assessing, planning and delivering patient care across the perioperative pathway.
• Maintain the highest standards of patient safety, infection prevention and clinical practice.
• Support quality improvement by collecting, interpreting and sharing clinical information.
• Contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture focused on patient outcomes.
• Support development of knowledge, skills and best practice across the wider theatre team.
