Job summary

SSEN Transmission is recruiting an experienced Planner to support onshore, offshore and development projects across the electricity transmission network in the UK. You will develop, maintain and analyse robust programmes to keep projects moving and provide clear insight into milestones, risks and actions.

The role requires base in one of our Scottish locations with the expectation to spend 50% of your time in the office and to travel to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in planning or scheduling role within major infrastructure, construction, energy or large capital projects.
• Good working knowledge of Primavera P6, with ability to build, maintain and analyse project schedules.
• Understanding of project controls and contract planning requirements; NEC3 or FIDIC experience is beneficial.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills with internal teams, contractors and delivery partners.
• Proactive, organised and solution-focused with good Microsoft 365 skills; willing to travel to SSE offices and project sites.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and manage high-quality project schedules across the full lifecycle.
• Use Primavera P6 to build, update and analyse project plans and milestones.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineering, commercial, site delivery and contractors to align programmes.
• Review and improve schedules to support informed decision making.
• Provide clear reporting and insight on performance for leaders.
